Great neighborhood!! We were just south of there off the Halsey L. (Also, not sure why my comment didn't nest under yours, sorry! That's what I get for commenting on phone.) See you Friday!

Hilarious!! This post made me LOL from beginning to end. Later on, my dad was sitting at the computer and I heard him chuckling. . . then he said, "Calamities!" :D The Vietnamese nuns always mixed up "lemon" and "lime." I think there might be just one word for both fruits in their language.

Ha! I love that Joe reads the footnotes:) And that’s interesting re: the nuns--I’m starting to realize that not all cultures/languages parse lemon and lime in the same way English does. This probably should have occurred to me earlier, because even in French limes are literally called “green lemons”! I guess citrus is a spectrum, haha.

I was reading and enjoying and chuckling and suddenly…it’s me!!! 🤣 Thank you so much for the shout-out, Samantha, and that granita and tea and the whole thing (including the cute Dutch oven, for our enjoyment 😂) was so much fun to read. The color is just WOW and loved hearing about the lemon-lime-limon-baladi adventure. I’m linking to your piece on Friday, fits in perfectly with what I’m doing! Thank you, again :)
