Samantha! I loved this piece so much. To on occasion, bedazzling ourselves in spandex, to trying new things, to learning how to get back up and fight. To Lucha Libre!!
This is a pretty cool piece. Interesting I wrote something very similar about WWE when I realized how intricate the storytelling and worldbuilding is in wrestling, that it's a great form of entertainment to study high impact storytelling.
Lucha Libre is amazing ins't it? for us, mexicans, is forget about everything and launching stress in all directions! I enjoy so much! Congratulations for this wonderful post! Happy day! :-)
Oh wow! Love the vivid, colorful descriptions! At first, I thought, “Where is she going with this?” But the ending - the way you brought it around to real life - was masterful. Thanks for another wonderful essay!
What a fun write up of this Latin extravaganza, you really tapped the pulse of the " wrestling culture " , even in the USA fans are rapid ! I don't get it but find it amusing.
Excellent piece, with such a well crafted ending!
Thank you so much, Brad!
You are living a BIG life Sam, Brava! ✨
Thank you, Jolene 🤗 I am very lucky!
OK, I'll go -- but only if you're also there, live blogging it!
Haha, just tell me when!

Lucha Libre is one of the best things to do in Meixco. An absolute blast
It really is! I'd recommend it to anyone

Hi Jay--great minds, and how funny that we'd publish similar pieces within a day of each other! Thanks for reading :)
Yes. Interesting timing. The impact of wrestling continues to grow. You are welcome. Safe and happy travels.
This sounds like the best night! I hope Místico got his revenge the following week (I’m sure he did!)
I admittedly have gotten way too deep in lucha recap blogs and can confirm that Místico has since beaten Ángel de Oro!!
Justice at last!
I haven't been in CDMX, but I've had some similarly amazing Lucha Libre evenings in Guadalajara. Thanks for the great post!
Thanks for reading, Mike! It's such a fun "sport" to watch.

I love that, Guadalupe! Thanks so much for reading ❤️
When the content is great you can't stop reading it...plus I'm a fan of Lucha Libre! It's the perfect place to get rid of stress! ;-)
This is a scene I have never imagined ever! You render it very well, making most interesting parallels to life.
Thank you, Betty ❤️
Love wrestling! I’m so jealous of you.
You have to go to a lucha show someday if you haven't yet!! Next on my wrestling bucket list are sumo and Turkish oil wrestling.
Both fantastic, I’m sure!
And I forgot to say -- great ending!
:) thanks, Michael! I hope you do get to Lucha Libre sometime, it's definitely an experience.
We were supposed to go while living in CDMX -- and then Covid happened. Have to make it there one day!
